STANDING

i think the thing that bugs me the most about not updating is when you finally get back onto xanga and post you need to catch up on everything that happened since you posted last. well today is the day and i'm standing and saying NO! it's either that or no updating... :)

so my life is full...full of good good things. i am truly blessed...blessed by the Father! never in my life have i felt more peace and more joy...never. i don't know how all of you feel but at times where i want to talk about what the Lord has done for me i get doubtful...doubtful that anyone will understand or doubtful that i have enough wisdom to truly speak Christ to His fullest. doubtful. doubt comes straight from satan and i am today standing once more to say that NO MORE!

can i ask ya'all a question? when was the last time you saw that a stranger was hurting? if we answered with "well, i dunno, never really thought of it." then we have fallen short of a perfect plan. as drastic as that sounds i have another question....what exactly does the great commission mean to you?

"therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands i have given you; and be sure of this - that i am with you always, even to the end of the world."

the Father has really been speaking to me about reaching out. and i truly don't think He cares to who...just reach out. He will nudge you...and when He does we better do it. often what my excuse is is well i am not very wise and i have so much to grow in, i will let someone else until i am more prepared. well, hm, nice try there too telle...He covers that in matthew 10:19b & 20 "for you will be given the right words at the right time. for it won't be you doing the talking - it will be the Spirit of your heavenly Father speaking through you!"

"God does not call us to be successful, but obedient."

God is so good! Let him amaze you! Stun you! And love you, so that you may love others purely!

our barn party was great...three blind mice, barbies, j.o.s (wow i have crossed over and become a true indiana person--excuse me...booffers.), muslims, pastor robert and a prisoner, the mafia, a bubblegum machine, an old bag, a scrub nurse, president bush, gifts, cow people, a stud....the list goes on and on but my memory is short. enjoy!

i think i should have more incentive to update so i get it done more often. like if i would reward myself w/ a cookie or something. but i wouldn't want to scare anyone w/ updating everyday (couple times a day) either. anyone got any better (more healthy) ideas?
so i was tagged...well we will just say awhile back ...so here are 7 things about me:
#1 i LOVE the smell of post offices
#2 EVERY morning when i look at my phone alarm the words always look spelled incorrectly (i'm still not 100% convinced that they aren't)
#3 i have recently moved to MICHIGAN!!!!
#4 right now i'm wearing a shirt that says: hawk nelson is MY friend
#5 i like to play MINI golf on paper
#6 my favorite HYMN is "the love of God"
#7 one time when i was YOUNGER i got mad at my sister and threw a pledge can at her...missed thankfully and now my parents are blessed w/ an upstairs bedroom door w/ a bonus dent/hole. :) oops.
and then i have to add a #8 just for fun...
#8 one time when my sister was OLD enuf to know better she got mad at me and pushed me into a bathtub (which earned me multiple bruises) and then proceded to stand and laugh at me. (i will not be sharing our ages w/ you as an audience.)
my life is so wonderful. and i won't trade any of you in it for anything. i do wish that monica dawn yoder would be in it a little more but that should be happening NEXT WEEKEND. i'm missing you and can't wait to hang out w/ you. and wendy, it's so wonderful to live so close to you...

                    i love kids...they bring out the best in ya. this last week i was a counselor out at a camp in indiana. i loved it. had many good moments. had many funny moments. and some embarrassing ones too.
as counselor, you are also rec leaders for a rec team all week long.  so i know i can be kinda athletically challenged at times but i was ready to jump in head first w/ softball. so i get to the field, got everyone to a position (kinda), and were about 3 innings into the game. by this time i was thinkin' wow, i'm doing pretty good, they seem to be in pretty good positions and we are winning. harah for us. then that all changed. a guy on our team, the position beside me, turned to me and asked why we don't have a counselor on our team as rec leader. :) groan. guess i wasn't doing as well as i thot i was. or look as old as i thot i was either. bless that guy's heart, he felt really bad. but thanks to eric, jordan, rod, and jamie who did a great job at helpin w/ leading out. you guys were all great.
but it was an awesome week. the Holy Spirit was workin among the staff and campers...we had so many moments of pure joy and life. God is so good and He loves taking care of His children.  kids are His heart and it was so obvious seeing Him comforting all of us there.

kara came in for the program and to hang out that weekend. so we goofed off w/ the griner kids saturday and sunday. thanks a million sharon and dianne for letting us stay over...you guys are the greatest. we celebrated kara's birthday, she went out into her 19th year w/ a bang...or at least w/ a four-wheeler ride. we did some pretty sweet fireworks and stuff too. i was enjoying myself until i started lighting people and stuff on fire, then it wasn't so grand. sparklers ended up being the safest for me.

ok that's all for me...i've been on here on and off trying to do this since like 11 this morning. i had a few interuptions...:) but its all good. so see ya all later.

"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13.:35
Ya know how when God really wants to get your attention by putting the same verse in your path over and over...? Well that's what happened with this verse. And then the last time around a light finally came on. He didn't say by all the good deeds you do for others, or by how many times you go to church, or by how much money you give away. (that all comes later) no, he said by your love for others. But personally I don't think that's where it actually begins cuz what do we know about love anyway? Jesus was thee greatest example of love ever! And it's proven in John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Isn't that what He did? We are the FRIENDS of Jesus Christ! He has so much love to give us and when we can finally accept that love I believe that's when we can truly begin to love others!
Talking bout loving others, whew what a chanllenge I was w/ my family all weekend...JUST KIDDING!!!!!!   Honestly I LOVE my family and there is nothing I love better then being w/ them for a whole weekend. We had good times: playing whiffle ball and 'What If', Eating (way too much), and just sittin around shootin' the breeze. N here's proving just that...





It was a great weekend! Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to get it together.  Thanks to Austin & Wendy & Jenn for introducing Airborne. And thanks to my entire family for being so terrific!

I'M REALLY MISSING MEGAN! IN SOME WAYS IT'S REALLY TOUGH TO BELEIVE THAT IT WILL BE 4 YEARS THIS SUMMER BUT THEN IN OTHER WAYS IT SEEMS LIKE DECADES. I JUST FEEL BLESSED TO HAVE HAD ALL THE MOMENTS WE DID BEFORE SHE LEFT.

YEAH THIS PICTURE IS KINDA CRAZY LOOKIN BUT I JUST HAD TO GET IT ON HERE ANYHOW. THIS WAS IN A TEENY VILLAGE IN SOUTHERN CHINA IN A PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME IN OUR FREE PHOTO SHOOT. MELIS AND I LAUGHED ALOT THE WAY IT WAS BUT THEN THEY KEPT GETTING THE WRONG WIFE W/ JASON AND IT CAUSED MUCH MORE. WE STAYED OVERNITE AND BY THE TIME WE GOT THERE THE NEXT MORNING THEY HAD OUR PICTURES POSTED ALL OVER IN THEIR STUDIO. VERY WORTH THE 95 HOURS WE WERE ACTUALLY THERE. :) I REALLY MISS CHINA.
